Mindset - The New Psychology Of Success

Mindset - The New Psychology Of Success
This book is reaffirming and a motivator to get growers growing, even more,it's a solid book, there have been many books regarding practice as a means of talent development.

You can definitely benefit from this book. For those interested in improving their lives, their parenting skills, their leadership skills, their teaching skills and their relationship skills, this is a must read.

The book is not just theory. Dweck explains how the fixed mindset was in part responsible for the downfall of Enron, this is the first one that I have read that addresses how our attitudes about our capabilities to improve affect learning and personal improvement. Those who believe that they can improve through work and practice, can. Those who don't believe can get stuck. It also addresses how we can change our mindsets and how parents can instill the learning mindset in their children.

The book is a real eye-opener. The fixed mindset versus growth mindset is not an either or situation.
We can possess a growth mindset in certain areas but a fixed mindset in other areas of our lives. If you are honest, you will do some "Aha" when you discover some fixed mindsets traits about yourself.

The tips inside the body of the book and the tools at the end of each chapter are incredibly helpful. Sometimes she gets repetitive but repetition is what ingrains.

Lastly, Dweck tells how we can develop a growth mindset and improve our lives and the lives of those around us. An easy read that I thoroughly enjoyed and I highly recommend it to everyone.
